I am tickled PINK to be chosen as a mentor for this year\’s Consult Australia Future Leaders Program!
I have been a proud partner and collaborator with Consult Australia since about 2016. During that time, I\’ve presented to their members live and virtually, MC\’d their leadership conferences, served as a judge for their Awards for Excellence and presented my Future of Leadership and Soar with Your Strengths sessions each year for the Future Leaders Program for the last five or six years.
Every year I\’m increasingly impressed by the calibre of this program and its participants. Not only do they get to hear from outstanding speakers on a variety of topics every fortnight, but the highlight of the program is working in teams to complete a project.
Each team has a mentor to help guide them, and the projects are judged by a panel of judges and evaluated by their peers through a People\’s Choice award.
I was THRILLED to receive a call by Linda Gaunt a few weeks ago asking me if I could be a mentor.
My first reaction was, \”But I\’m not an engineer!\” Then she reminded me that many of the participants aren\’t engineers either. In fact, we\’ve had project managers, architects and admin managers in the program.
The projects are designed to utilise the talents of all participants, and Linda and Consult\’s CEO, Jonathan Cartledge, decided to expand the pool of mentors beyond engineers.
I happily accepted and am so thrilled to be working with Team: OCAM Visionary Alliance in Victoria.
